Nigeria and South Korea are set to review the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both countries.

Police Minister, Muhammad Dingyadi disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja when he received the Korean Ambassador, Jon Tong Chol.

The minister explained that the extant pact has been in existence for long and required a review.

“We will look at the agreement and endeavour to make the necessary contact with you to make the agreement operate without hindrance,” he said.

Dingyadi expressed Nigeria’s readiness to collaborate with Korea on training, retraining, manpower development, technology, equipment, arms and ammunition.

Meanwhile, Chol applauded the government and security agencies for efforts in improving security across the country.

“We have been following activities of the Nigeria Police Force and Armed Forces in fighting insurgency, banditry, and other criminal activities.

“We rejoice with the recent achievement and improvement in the security environment”, the envoy stated.
