Kylian Mbappe is reportedly understood to be willing to take a pay-cut in order to make his Real Madrid transfer a reality.

The French international’s contract expires at Ligue 1 champions PSG this summer and no new deal has been penned.

According to Spanish outlet, Marca, the forward is intending to leave the French side for a fresh challenge once their season ends.

Mbappe is keen on winning trophies and unless there is a Paris strategy overhaul, then he will be moving on to pastures new.

PSG may be able to offer more money than the La Liga kings can, but finances won’t be the main motivator behind the 23-year-old’s transfer.

It was reported by French media earlier this week that he had signed a new deal until 2024 in France, but recent reports have labelled them false.

Across his spells in Monaco and Paris, Mbappe has already won Ligue 1 five times along with his World Cup winners’ medal from France’s successful 2018 tournament.

He’s netted a remarkable 35 times with 23 assists in 43 matches this season.
