Coach Jose Peseiro has said he is looking forward to Super Eagles friendly against his native country Portugal in November.

Portugal’s captain, Cristiano Ronaldo and teammates will welcome Nigeria to Lisbon on November 17 in their final 2022 World Cup warm-up.

Speaking ahead of the duel, the handler hinted that he can’t wait to see Super Eagles return to winning ways after suffering defeats against Algeria.
He however prayed his players recover from injury ahead of the crucial duel.
“I am happy to play against Portugal. It is my country,” he said.

“We will do a good match. I hope the players who are injured recover (in time for this match). I will choose the best players, but I hope no big injuries in the team.”

Meanwhile in Nigeria’s last game against Algeria, the Super Eagles were without Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, William Ekong, Leon Balogun, Ahmed Musa and Emmanuel Dennis due to injury.
