Paralympics Games: We were fully Prepared – Perm Se

With few days to the official commencement of the 2020 Paralympics Games,the permanent Secretary, ministry of youth and sports, Mr Nebeolisa Anaku has disclosed that the team Nigeria to the Games were fully and well prepared for the games.

Speaking with Tribunesport in Seouls International Airport,South Korea ,the permanent Secretary informed that the paralympians were camped for two months before the games and also having two weeks training in Kisarazu where they will move to the Olympics Games village.

According to him,”well as we speak I can say categorically that the athletes were well prepared for the games and with the hope that the results will bring smiles to Nigerians.”

The President,Nigeria Para Powerlifting Federation Ruel Ishaku in a chat with Tribunesports said he was optimistic of an outright victory for the Team Nigeria at the games.

“We have enough training both in camp in Nigeria and the current camp.Aside this,the ministry has made a conducive atmosphere available ahead of the games for the athletes hence they were in high spirit for the games”, he said.

Ibrahim Olaitan, 67k para lifter told Tribunesport also at the Airport that she is not going for anything less than gold medal in her category.

She said,”I am ready for the games,apart from our normal training ,i also engaged in personal training so that i will not disappoint and i am not going for anything short of gold medal.I won gold medal at the last games in my category and I will retain my gold in Tokyo 2020 games”,Olaitan said
