In recent years, Cairo University Racing Team – Formula Student has emerged as a notable contributor to Egypt’s automotive landscape. Originating from a 2012 graduation project at Cairo University’s Faculty of Engineering, this team has transitioned into a pioneering force aiming to revolutionize the nation’s automotive sector by competing internationally and introducing innovative approaches. Their journey hit a significant milestone in 2019 when they accomplished a groundbreaking feat – being the first Egyptian team to develop an electric motorsports car. This achievement highlighted Egypt’s potential in clean energy and electric car technology, earning global recognition for their electrical car design, securing first place in the MENA region, and ranking fifth worldwide.
