Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has tipped the Pharaoh of Egypt as the favourite for the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The Portuguese coach made the statement during his chat with the Egyptian football news outlet KORAPLUS.
He made it clear that the 7-time are capable of clinching the title again in Ivory Coast
” There are many strong teams that are candidates to win the African Cup of Nations such as the Egyptian national team which is the best in the continent of Africa.
I believe they are a candidate to win the competition”, he said.
Egypt last won the tournament in 2010 under coach Hassan Shehata.
