2023 NYG: Delta, Lagos, Bayelsa In Top Three As Seven States Yet To Win Medal

With two days to the end of the 2023 National Youth Games, Team Delta is still in commanding lead in the medals table leading with 26 gold, 17 silver and 12 bronze medals totalling 45 medals.

According to the official medals table released at 10:00 pm Wednesday night, Lagos, Bayelsa and Edo States occupied the second, third and fourth respectively while Kwara, FCT, Plateau Anambra, Katsina and Rivers States made the Top Ten.

The medals table showed that Team Lagos has won 15 gold ,11 silver, and 11 bronze medals while Bayelsa recorded 10 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze medals. Team Edo who occupied fourth position garnered 7 gold, 3 silver and 9 bronze. Team Kwara has 5 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals.

Meanwhile, seven states which includes; Adamawa, Benue, Enugu, Gombe, Niger, Sokoto and Taraba were yet to appear on the table.

The 7th National Youth Games which commenced last Saturday will come to an end on Saturday 30th September, 2023.
