The Warriors of Zimbabwe midfielder Marshall Munetsi has said they will use Nigeria fixtures and arrangements to their advantage.

The Zimbabwean team has spent over a week in Rwanda preparing for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

They played their first game against the Amavubi of Rwanda on Wednesday and decided to stay there for the Matchday 2 game against Nigeria.

Super Eagles played their first game against Lesotho on Thursday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo and it ended 1-1.

The Nigerian side landed in Rwanda on Saturday morning and will have their training later in the day before Sunday’s game.

The Stade De Reims players believed that their stay in Rwanda and a day’s rest would be to their advantage.

“They played on Thursday and didn’t have much time to recover so we can use that to our advantage.

“It’s going to be a good challenge against Nigeria and I’m sure it will be a game of fine margins,” Munetsi told the Herald.

The game is slated to take place at the Huye Stadium on Sunday at 1 pm local time.
