AFCON Fallout: CAF Hammer Falls On Senegalese Forward

African soccer ruling body has descended heavily on the Teranga Lions of Senegal forward Krepin Diatta.

The AS Monaco winger was sanctioned following his outburst after his country clashed with the Elephant of Coted’Ivoire in the Round of 16.

Senegal lost to Ivory Coast via penalty shoot and Diatta believed there was an injustice on the part of the match officials.

According to the football body on Wednesday, Diatta was slammed with a 4 match suspension, with 2 suspensions to be held in abeyance.

He will miss the next two official matches for Senegal and he was also fined USD 16,329.88.
