The Executive Committee of the African soccer governing body headed by Patrice Motsepe are already considering opening up the Championship of African Nations.

Initially, the competition is designed to entertain the players who are plying their trade in their homeland.

According to the update from CAF, they are already considering giving the players who are playing on the continent the opportunity to represent their nations.

” We will study this point in the Executive Committee. This must be an evolution for CHAN.

The main thing is that African players are highlighted and participate in the competition.

You can be an Algerian player, play in a club in Egypt and represent your country at CHAN”, Motsepe said.

Kenya will host the next edition of the competition in 2024.
