Following his impressive performance last weekend, Nigeria’s Super Eagles invitee, Victor Boniface, has been named in the German Bundesliga Team of the Week.
The youngster made the headline again on Saturday as he scored twice in Bayer Leverkusen’s five-goal thriller against Darmstadt.
The team of the week was released on Monday evening and the Nigerian forward featured prominently in the team.
He was listed in the attack alongside Benjamin Sesko, Takuma Asano and Chris Führich.
Boniface’s 4 goals and 2 assists ensured that Leverkusen sat on top of the Bundesliga table.
