Nwabali Missing In Eagles Training, To Undergo Scan On Wednesday

Injured Nigeria’s Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili is set to undergo a scan on Wednesday to determine the extent of his injury.

The Chippa United goalkeeper was replaced in the second-round match against Cameroon in the 79th minute.

He missed the team’s training on Monday and the coach Jose Peseiro revealed that he will undergo a scan on Wednesday.

“He (Nwabali) is with us, we are hoping he will be available for the game against Angola,” Peseiro told reporters.

“He will undergo another test on Wednesday. After that we will know whether he can play or not”, he said.

Three-time African champions, Super Eagles will trade tackles with Angola at the Abidjan Stade Felix Boigny Stadium in the quarter-final of the 2023 African Nations Cup on Friday, 2nd February, 2024.
