The update coming from Naples is not palatable as Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is reflecting on the future of head coach Rudi Garcia after the team’s poor start to the season.

The Partenopei, who were one of the most in-formed teams in Europe under Luciano Spalletti last season, currently find themselves fifth in the Serie A table after eight games, picking up 14 points from four wins and two draws.

They suffered their second home defeat this season to Fiorentina on Sunday and ADL was not pleased with the result.

ADL met with Garcia and the club’s staff on Monday, discussing the future of the club.

The president is now seriously considering dismissing the Frenchman in the coming days, which would allow him to find a replacement over the international break.
