Egypt and Russia to increase operation of in-between flights

The Russian Federal Agency for Air Transport and the Egyptian Aviation Ministry signed a memorandum of understanding regarding an increase in the number of flights between the countries.

It was gathered that TOURDOM.RU, the two ministries agreed on the possibility of operating 14 weekly flights between Moscow and Cairo/ Alexandria, on board Air Arabia.

According to the MoU, it is possible to schedule flights up to 25 flights from Moscow, to the Egyptian resorts of Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh.

Also on the list of routes are seven flights per week from Saint Petersburg to Cairo/ Alexandria, and 14 flights to Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada.

The MoU applies to Russian carriers, according to the air traffic parity between both countries.

With this agreement, airlines will begin to expand transportation to Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada from Russian cities.
