2023 AFCON: CAF Notifies NFF, Others On Number of Registered Players

African soccer ruling body has once again changed its stand on the number of players participating country in the upcoming 2023 African Cup of Nations.

After allowing countries to register 27 players for the last edition of the tournament in Cameroon, CAF in June announced that the registered players have been reversed to 23 players.

According to the update coming from the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, the football body has once again increased the number back to 27 players.

All the participating countries including Nigeria have been sent a notification about the new development

The biennial competition is slated to run from January 13th to February 11th, 2024 in the Ivory Coast.
